Held at PV?
A tournment back in the 90's. I cant remember the name of it. Something like Post Tiger Market Classic or something? Anyone else remember?
Held at PV?

Yeah, it was at PV. Post was for BSG Post newspaper and Tiger was for the original Tiger Markets. But it was older than the 90's, more like the 80's. I went to a few games. I remember a team from Ky. (Evarts I'm pretty sure) getting absolutely robbed in a game against GC. Nearly turned ugly after the game between Evarts coach and a ref. I spoke with their coach after the game. Nice guy. I remember Whitewood playing in it and Norton, and of course PV. I know George Cox was playing then so that would put those games into the early 80's.

I know RC participated in it in the early 90s and maybe late 80s as well.

Couldn't have been very far into the 90's. The original Tiger Markets sold out to the now bankrupt Appco in '92 and the tournament had ended before the business sold. The reason I know that is I worked for them. I've got the original Tiger Market Coca-Cola clock from the BSG Tiger hanging in my living room. Been offered $200 for it, it ain't goin' til I go though.

It was the premier tournament in Sw VA. Twin Springs won it during the 91/92 season.

I remember Burton winning it in either 88 or 89. They beat Garden, Volunteer, and PV(with Robert Spears) iirc.
So the name of the tourney was "Tiger Market Classic" me and a friend cannot remember the name.
